We are a neurotechnology lab at Imperial College London. We are combining neuroscience and technology to develop solutions that restore function to movement impaired people (e.g. paralysis: stroke, multiple sclerosis, ALS and amputees) using novel approaches. Instead of requiring complex brain wave decoding (Brain-Computer-Interface) our robot arm is guided by an eye tracker that follows the direction of where a person is looking. From these eye movements our algorithm decodes their movement intention. In this case we have added a paintbrush and canvas to the system to enable the user to operate the robot arm, without having to "lift a finger".
