Self Portrait

Self portraits are a subject matter that many famous artists have chosen to paint. It seems only natural that our artistic robot would follow in their footsteps being that he has a face.This painting is our first attempt at an original artwork and it proved to be much more difficult than we had expected. The goal was to have the robot try and paint his own face with his neutral expression. Painting with the controller was not as intuitive as first imagined so we had to reconfigure some of the servo motors to make movements more natural to people who are not used to controlling this type of arm.
