Around the Corner
Abstract painting created with brightly colored brush strokes that curved around the corner of the canvas. Taking advantage of the computers ability to accurately create patterns based on position and angles

The painting in progress (please note a second version of this piece was created for documentation purposes for the competition, due to the variables inherent in painting with a robot - it is not identical to the first painting but has the same brush stroke set).

Digital Image
Digital Image used as a starting point for this painting. Python code was used to create a brush stroke set into a csv file that the robot could then read.

Check out my painting process for 'Around the Corner'. Unfortunately my video for the original Around the Corner painting was corrupt. So I painted a second one to document for the competition. It is interesting to see the similarities and differences between the identical motion set. My preference was the first version which I submitted to the contest. But you can see both paintings used the same process.
