The arts and engineering have always been two conflicting ideas not only in our household, but also all around the world. Growing up with a mother who's passionate about music and a father who's passionate about robotics, you get the best from both sides but not a lot of representation from the outside world. Any opportunity to combine the two in an event, project, or competition makes the two of us jump out of our seats out of excitement. My sister and I are two high school students looking to challenge ourselves and further our knowledge in engineering. As two women who both value hard work and team work, we use our determination to plow through the gender barriers that exist throughout the Engineering world.
