Lorenzo Scalera was born in Trieste (Italy) in 1991. He received the Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering and the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, both cum laude, at University of Trieste (Italy) in 2012 and 2015, respectively. Since November 2015, he has been working toward the Ph.D. degree in Applied Mechanics and Robotics at University of Udine (Italy). Since January 2018, he has been visiting at Stevens Institute of Technology (Hoboken, NJ, USA), where he has been working at the Wearable Robotic System Laboratory. His research interests are in the fields of cable-driven robotic systems, flexible-link mechanisms, haptics, human-machine interface and collaborative robotics for artistic applications.
