Seated Men

I have tried to model the robot painting process on my own approach to painting. Pictorial areas are defined and loosely filled with colour using a variety of strokes. With this painting an underpainting was done first. This underpainting routine doesn't work perfectly, as many spaces are not filled. But it does produce interesting patterns, which is good, as I'm more interested in obtaining interesting effects, rather than a perfect painting. The painting depicts three men seated outside a cafe. It is painted in a muted palette of eight colors.
