PIX18 / Creative Machines Lab
The PIX18 project aims to build robots and software capable of creating original artwork in oil on canvas. The project has gone through three generations of systems - the first was an articulated arm and the latter were repurposed gantry robots. The software was developed from scratch and is continuously learning and evolving. PIX18, the robot that painted these images, resides in Manhattan. See http://www.hodlipson.com/robotic-art.html
